- He is convinced that Ghana has amazing football players
- He however argued that more attention should be focused on the resources we have
- He believes the current five slots given to Africa isn't the best
Departing British High Commissioner to Ghana, Jon Benjamin is hopeful of a Ghana-England clash at the 2018 FIFA World Cup final.
The Black Stars have only one point to their credit, and are behind table leaders, Egypt, who have six points from two games in the qualifiers.
The players would welcome the Pharaohs of Egypt, on November 6, 2017. That match would indicate the country that gets to qualify to the tournament.

Benjamin, is of the view Ghana is capable of making it to Russia next year.
He disclosed that his stay in this country has exposed him to amazing football talent, and as such attention should be focused on harnessing the advantages we, as a nation can derive from what we have.
He believes Africa should be better represented at the global football fiesta, and was happy that FIFA had opened up opportunities for more countries to be part of the World Cup.
He believes Africa deserves more representation at the event than the current five slots.
