- Gyan pens down two year deal with Turkish club
- The Black Stars captain will take home €1.5 million euros
Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has signed a two-year deal with Turkish club Kayserispor worth €1.5 million euros annually.
The club announced the deal on Wednesday via their official Twitter handle and website.
“An agreement has been reached with world famous footballer Asamoah Gyan to join Kayserispor.
President Dr Erol BEDİR, actor Asamoah GYAN, Gökhan Altıntaş, Tuna Kaya and our club officials have signed a 2 + 1-year contract with the Ghanaian in the last meeting in Istanbul.
Our president Dr.Erol BEDİR and Asamoah GYAN will move to Kayseri with 21.20 plane tonight,” the statement stated.
Gyan is expected to help the club gain mid-table experience. Kayserispor was almost relegated two seasons ago.
The 31-year-old tho weeks ago failed to sign for another Turkish outfit Bursaspor because both parties failed to reach an agreement.
Asamoah Gyan ended the season on loan at UAE where he scored 8 goals in 21 appearances. He is also Ghana’s all-time top scorer with 51 goals.
