- Senyo Hosi has brought an GHC8 million defamation suit against outspoken MP, Kennedy Agyapong
- The suit follows a warning issued by Senyo Hosi last week to the Assin Central MP to retract defamatory statements he made against him
Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong is the subject of a defamation suit by CEO of the Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors (CBOD).
The MP is reported to have accused Mr Hosi of offering a bribe of $1 million to the CEO of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company (BOST), Alfred Obeng.

However, Kennedy Agyapong's statement has not gone down well with Mr Hosi, who has filed a defamation suit against the outspoken MP.
The CBOD CEO believes allegations of bribery and corruption levelled against him by Kennedy Agyapong are misplaced and has therefore given the Assin Central MP a 24-hour ultimatum to retract or be subjected to a defamation suit.
Also included in the suit are the Deputy Executive Director of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), Afia Akoto, as well as Kennedy Agyapong's media house, Kencity Media Limited.
Mr Hosi is suing Agyapong GHc 5 million, GHc3 million from Kencity and GHc1 million from Afia Akoto - with all totalling GHc9 million.
