- NDC's Nukpenu says BNI should be scrapped for their embarrassing reports on BOST MD
- He says the NPP is aiming at shielding the BOST MD in the whole fraudulent oil deal
The National Democratic Congress (NDC), Greater Regional Organizer, Anthony Nukpenu has labeled the Bureau of National Investigation (BNI) as the most useless all the state instituting being pushed around by some bunch of hooligans in the country.
According to him the national investigative institution has been useless since its inception and must be scrapped.
Speaking in a media interview, the angry NDC organizer insisted that a national investigative body such as BNI should not be pushed around by some ‘bunch of cartels’ to issuing embarrassing reports on sensitive state matters such as the fraudulent BOST oil saga.
To him, the BNI recent report on BOST and its MD is nothing but a national shame and humiliation that must be condemned by all well-meaning Ghanaians.
Mr Nukpenu who was clearly not happy in his submission described the BNI report as a sham that must be totally disregarded to pave fresh ways for another investigations into the matter.
He also maintained that, it’s the agenda of the NPP administration to shield the BOST MD in any wrongdoing in the allege scandal.
Anthony Nukpenu was sharing his thoughts on the recent BOST contaminated fuel saga.
The BNI and the National Security exonerated the Managing Director of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation (BOST) Company Limited, Alfred Obeng Boateng in the sale of 5 million liters of contaminated fuel.
The statement released by BNI indicated that the private office of the BOST MD is at the Airport Residential Area whilst Movenpinaa registered address is at East Legon with its operational office located at Awudome. The telephone numbers of the company, according to the report, is different from that of the BOST MD.
The BNI also pointed out that Mr. Alfred Obeng Boateng is neither a Director nor a shareholder of Movenpiina according to documents at the Registrar General’s Department, hence, “could not see any link between BOST MD and Movenpinaa.
Further findings of the security agencies also revealed that the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has never licensed a single company or entity dealing in waste petroleum product in Ghana.
