Journalist and politician, Kweku Baako has disclosed that he voted for president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo – Addo during the 2016 December elections.
Baako, who is the editor of the New Crusading Guide newspaper stated that he owes allegiance to the Convention Peoples Party (CPP), which he is a member of.
However, clashes with regard to his party’s style of leadership and approach to policies causes him to sympathize with the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He went on to say that his obligations to the CPP involves the expansion in the number of its member of parliaments, but not to promote its presidential candidate.

This, according to him, is based on his belief that the party needs to strengthen itself in parliament, as against aiming for presidency.
He would therefore focus on securing more members of parliament (MPs) for the party, than supporting it candidate for president.
The ace journalist concluded by saying that he has done his bit for the CPP throughout the years.
According to him, he has mobilized equipment as well as financial aid for the party. He claims he has adopted between 20 and 30 constituencies, and printed shirts and posters for them.
