Seven years ago, Papa Joe Aviance weighed a massive 215kg. As a kid growing up in Michigan, US, he was chubby and struggled with his weight.
He moved to Los Angeles and together with the singer Lula, he recorded a cover of Indeep’s 1982 hit “Last Night a D.J. Saved My Life” in 2009.
He watched himself in the song's video and was shocked at just how fat he was. It was then that he decided to change his lifestyle.
