- One of the lower overstretch of the Nkrumah Circle has been cordoned off following the appeatance of a hole
- Checks by YEN.com.gh reveal the hole could have been due to an underground pressure pipe
It's been barely a year since the new 3-tier Kwame Nkrumah Circle Interchage was commissioned by the erstwhile John Mahama administration and yet the €74 million project is already beginning to tumble down.
Checks by YEN.com.gh show that one of the lower stretches of the Interchange has been cordoned off following the appearance of a gaping hole which engineers claim could be caused by an underground pressure pipe.
As we speak, all efforts are been made to seal the hole which had previously reared its heat in the centre of the road.
The appearance of the hole follows an earlier accident on yet another stretch of the highway which saw a truch with an empty container brea through the rails of the stretch - a shocking scene which could have resulted in fatalities but for the intervention of road safety officials.
All drivers and pedestrians are therefore advised to tread cautiously on the affected interchange so as to prevent any possible accident.
