Pastor Josh Laryea, a gospel artiste and clergyman, formerly of the International Central Gospel Church, is said to have launched his own church in Accra.
A report by blogger Zionfelix.com, indicates the church, which has been named ‘Charis International Church’ was launched on June 17, not long after he left ICGC.
Pastor Laryea had been in charge of the ICGC Doxa Temple in Labone, up till his suspension from the church.
His new Christian gathering premises is said to be located in Cantonments, an area very close to Labone.
It should be recalled that about two months ago, the ICGC released a statement announcing the withdrawal of Pastor Laryea from the pulpit on grounds of alleged ‘immoral conduct’.
The church’s disciplinary committee stated that the matter was being handled internally, but the Doxa Temple would be given a new leader to oversee the congregation.
They further stated that his suspension was to give way to investigations into the allegations leveled against the gospel singer.
Pastor Josh Laryea is among the notable gospel musicians in Ghana, with a number of record hits including the very popular ‘Nnigboo’.
