- Ex-soldier loses property to fire in Asokore Mampong

- The unfortunate incident happened Sunday night

Fire has destroyed a seven-bedroom house of a retired military man, Collins Osei Adjei at Asokore Mampong in the Ashanti region of Ghana.

The fire which started Sunday night around 9 pm destroyed property worth millions of Ghana Cedis.

According to the Ghana National Fire Service, the cause of the fire is not yet known, but faulty wires could have caused the inferno.

The firefighters took a couple of hours to douse the fire, however, no casualties were recorded.

Mr Osei Adjei told the media he has lost everything, including GHC15,000. “My future hangs in the balance,” he told the media.

In June fire razed down a five bedroom building at Abrepo Highways, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti region.

The fire destroyed properties worth million of Ghana cedis including one Retxon vehicle with registration number AW_56_15.

It took firefighters several hours to douse the fire, no casualties were recorded.
