- Prophet Emmanual Badu Kobi has threatened to curse NPP's Sammy Awukuif he ever tried to misbehave with him
- He's stated that pastors should tell the truth regardless of who's in authority
Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi, Founder of the Glorious Wave Church International, has stated should the New Patriotic Party's Sammy Awuku ever "crossed" him he wouldn't hesitate to rebuke him.
According to Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi, Mr. Sammy Awuku, who's the ruling NPP's National Youth Organizer, would receive "strong words" from him [Prophet Kobi] if the prophet ever crossed paths with him and got him one-on-one.
Prophet Badu Kobi's comments on Mr. Sammy Awuku were in relation to comments the NPP National Youth Organizer made in 2012 during his time as the party's Deputy Communications Director. In a speech to members of TESCON, an NPP affiliated group for tertiary school members in Koforudua, Mr. Awuku told members gathered to "take positions" should the NPP be declared winner of that year's general elections.

"….As soon as the NPP is declared winners of the 2012 elections, those of you who have finished school and do not have jobs, should take positions. Do not call me to ask me where should I stand, just take positions….if it is a Metro mass office that is near you, take position, if it is NHIS, take position; because myself (Sammy Awuku), I am also targeting some files," he said at that time.
At that time, Mr. Awuku went on to say that if members took up positions and their authority was questioned, they could go ahead and contact their constituency's youth organizer.

Though Mr. Awuku's comments were condemned at the time, Prophet Badu Kobi is of the opinion that the divisive comments were eventually acted on after the 2016 general elections by groups like the Delta Force, who assaulted the Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator.
Speaking to Kasaka FM's Fiifi Banson, Prophet Badu Kobi stated that having met Sammy Awuku's pastor, he asked the man of God how he dealt with the politician.
“If such politicians make a mistake and challenge me, I’ll curse them. How on earth can you say people should take position after elections, is Ghana at war? I’m looking for him one-on-one to pump some strong words into his head. " he said.
Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi went on to say that pastors must speak the truth irrespective of what authority is in power.
