-President Akufo-Addo has appointed another batch of ambassadors to represent the country in other nations
-The ceremony was held at the Golden Jubilee House on July 10

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo yesterday, July 10 appointed twenty-two (22) Ghanaians as ambassadors to foreign countries to act as representatives of the nation there.
The ceremony which was held in the Banquet Hall at the seat of government saw the ambassadors receive their mantle of ambassadorship also known as the letter of credence.
President Akufo-Addo presented credentials to persons appointed, in accordance with Article 74(1) of the Constitution, to safeguard and promote the image and interests of our nation outside Ghana.

During the short ceremony, the President admonished the newly appointed ambassadors to project the good image of Ghana which has been widely spread worldwide as the beacon of Africa. He advised them to have a cordially and incident-free working relationship with the foreign officers who were already at their countries of posting.
The president also charged them to work towards securing investment opportunities for the country so as to ensure that the developmental projects outlined by the current administration can be brought to fruition; chief among them being the 1 District, 1 Factory project.

The flag bearer of the People’s National Convention also received an ambassadorial appointment as Ambassador-at-Large. His appointment is not to any country in particular but he has been assigned special duties to carry out.

Ms. Elizabeth Salamatu Forgor – Republic of Namibia
Gen. Francis Adu-Amanfoh – Republic of Mali
Mr. Joseph Kojo Akudibilah – Vatican
Mr. Joseph Ayikoi Otoo – Canada
Mr. Napoleon Abdulai – Republic of Cuba
Ms. Margaret Ekua Prah – Republic of Zambia
Ms. Esther Dzifa Ofori – Republic of Equatorial Guinea
Prof. Abena Pokua A. Busia – Federative Republic of Brazil
Ms. Paulina Patience Abagaye – Republic of Italy
Mr. George Ayisi-Boateng – Republic of South Africa
Naa Bolinaa Saaka – Burkina Faso
Mr. Mike Nii Nortey Oquaye jnr – Republic of India
