Another missing state own vehicle has been discovered at Ashaiman Lebanon Zone 5 in the Greater Accra Region.

The back door of the vehicle has been dismantled

The Toyota Land Cruiser V8 was retrieved by the Government Assert Retrieval Taskforce and the police following a tipoff by some concerned residents of the area.

The vehicle, with registration number GV 2155-14 was found at a mechanic shop with some parts removed.

Two batteries of the car are also removed

Some residents who spoke to the media in an interview said they became alarmed and suspicions in the manner the shop owner was dismantling the car, though it seems to be in good condition.

Stolen vehicle was retrieved upon tipoff

The police and the taskforce upon their arrival at the scene confirmed that, one of the back doors had been dismantled while the two batteries had been removed.

The owner of the fitting shop, one Daniel Korletey on his part said, the car was brought to him by a family member from the Brong Ahafo region-Sunyani to put it in shape.

The 2014 Toyota Land Cruiser V8 has since been towed to the Ashaiman Divisional Police Command for further investigations.
