Mr. Samir Captain, former president of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA), has stated that Joseph Agbeko, a former International Boxing Federation (IBF) bantamweight champion, has spiritual issues going on with him.
Former bantamweight champion Joseph Agbeko was scheduled to fight Kenyan Boxer, Nick Otieno, on June 30th, 2017.
Unfortunately thought, the fight never came on because it failed to receive the GBA's sanctioning because it was allegedly organized behind the GBA's back. The fight was organized by King Promotions, an entity owned by Joseph Agbeko, and no reason was given for the bout's cancellation.

According to Samir Captain, the former GBA boss, the Agbeko-Otieno bout's cancellation also has something to do with certain spiritual undertones being experienced by Joseph Agbeko's spiritual .
Speaking on NEAT FM, Samir Captain related that Joseph Agbeko is a "fine" boxer, but that he is experiencing some kind of spiritual hardship.
“He [Agbeko] has stepped on a lot of toes. When you infiltrate into people’s territory with them not giving you their permission, they will curse you,” he said.
