A General Secretary of the Unemployed Private Trainee Nurses in Ghana has called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to prioritise the posting of unemployed nurses.
Emmanuel Nanor says government should make sure their postage to various hospitals should be a top priority over governments One-District, One Factory initiative.
He believed that the one district one factory would be disadvantageous to the private nurses since they could not be employed in the factories.
Emmanuel Nanor further criticized the government for placing the one-district-one factory initiative above their employment was infringing on the constitutional provision of equality among all citizens.
They believed they were equally employable as all other people in the private and public sector so they did not understand why priority had been given to the public serving nurses instead.
They said President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has five working days to address their issue else they will hold a protest at the Ministry and Flagstaff House.
