According to Hassan Ayariga, he finds no wrong taking any leadership role in government only if it is not an ambassadorial role.
Speaking to a cross section of the media in Accra, the defeated presidential candidate argued that taking an ambassadorial role means a demotion in the powers and right of any contending politician.
Meanwhile, the PNC has ordered for the immediate resignation of Edward Mahama in the wake of his decision to serve as ambassador at large – a development which has seen Dr. Mahama reveal his resolve to ensure that he holds an emergency executive meeting to address the development.
Dr. Edward Mahama has argued that he will not be serving the NPP but rather government and that his appointment gives his a special access to the strong room of the president.
