A Ghanaian youth by the name of Solomon Nyantekyi, has been detained by Italian authorities on suspicion of murdering his mother and sister.
Initial reports have it that the incident occurred on Tuesday evening, July 11th, 2017, in the neighborhood of Via San Leonardo, in the fringes of the City of Parma. Solomon Nyantekyi allegedly killed his mother Patience Nfum (age 45), and younger sister Magdalene Nyantekyi (age 11).

A report by Ghanasoccernet.com states that Mr. Solomon Nyantekyi, aged 21 years old, was apprehended by Italian authorities in Milan while attempting to escape via railway. According to Italian authorities, the suspect confessed to the crimes.
The suspects older brother, Raymond Nyantekyi (aged 25), allegedly came home late in the evening from work to find a bloody crime scene in their 5th floor home. According to Raymond Nyantekyi, the scene he came home to was one of blood everywhere, on the floor, furniture, and on the wall.

Solomon Nyantekyi was a rising star in Italian football's youth system, having won several titles to his name already. A football prodigy, he was later promoted to the club's senior side prior to it coming under administration, at which point the young player's career in football took a urn for the worse.
Solomon Nyantekyi played for Serie D side Imolese Calcio, but reportedly stopped suddenly and allegedly began hanging out with "bad company".
