Kotoko’s assistant coach, Godwin Ablordey, survives accident, but now in crutches

Information reaching YEN indicates that the assistant coach of the Kumasi Asante Kotoko football club, Godwin Ablordey now walks with the aid of crutches.

The team were involved in an accident on their way to Kumasi, after a match with Tema – based Inter Allies, in which they lost 1 – 0.

According to sources, the injured are on admission at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, after being transferred from the Holy Family Hospital at Nkawkaw.

However, the assistant equipment officer, Kofi Asare, is reported to have passed away.

Survivors and witnesses place the time of occurrence of the accident at 9:45pm, when the team’s bus collided with a stationary vehicle.
