-President Akufo-Addo has added a word of solidarity to the entire Asante Kotoko Team after their fatal car accident

President of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has shared his heartfelt solidarity with the victims of the fatal car crash involving playing and non-playing bodies of Ghana Premier League side, Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
In a post on his official Twitter handle, the president expressed how saddened he was by the news and sent his “heart” to those who were injured wishing them a speedy recovery.
The accident which occurred at about 9:45 PM on Wednesday, July 12 is reported to have caused the death of the team’s equipment officer. Those who were injured in the ghastly accident are receiving treatment at the Holy Family Hospital in Nkawkaw.
The accident is believed to have been caused when the driver of the Asante Kotoko Team bus rammed into a stationary bus hat was loaded with rice.
The Assistant Coach of team has been disharged but would have to walk with the assistance crutches for a while due to the accident.
The support from the president comes on the heels of many high-profiled personalities showing their support and solidarity to the team including former president John Dramani Mahama, Captain of the Black stars, Asamoah Gyan and the Ghana Football Association.
Support has been pouring in ever since the news of the unfortunate incident broke. First Division side, Okwahu United has offered the team a bus to convey some team members to Kumasi.
