The Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi has discharged all the injured Asante Kotoko players who were on the bus when the fatal accident occurred Wednesday night.
According to media report, the discharged players included Evans Kwaw, Eric Donkor, Saddick Adams, Frank Sarfo Gyamfi, Baba Mahama, Osei Agyeman, Augustine Sefa, Michael Akuffo and Awudu Nafiu.
Also discharged are the team manager, Godwin Abloddey and other officials.
Those still on admission are the coach Steve Pollack, Olenu Ashitey, a player and driver of the Kotoko bus, Nana Berchie.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Kumasi Asante Kotoko bus has been accused of the accident the involved the club’s bus and a truck at Nkawkaw near Abepotia Wednesday night resulting in the loss of one life.
The Nkawkaw Police Commander, Superintendent Jeff Darko said the accident could have been avoided if the driver was a little bit careful.
The unfortunate incident happened when the team was returning to their Kumasi base after a mid-week game against Inter Allies in Accra. They lost 1-0.
