Nangobi said: “My husband wants to have very many children. I don’t want to have many more children, but he insists that I should deliver until my eggs run dry.”
The second of three wives is however apprehensive of having more children in the face of tight financial constraints.
She explained that her daughter dropped out of school simply because the family of subsistence farmers could not afford her school uniform.
Her eldest daughter is following in her footsteps, as she already has three children at the age of 21 and is expecting another.
