- He says the accident would have been avoided if the team had listened to the voice of God
A head pastor of a Kumasi-based Church, Reindolph Oduro Gyebi, is claiming he warned Asante Kotoko team not to travel on the said day of the accident.
According to Prophet Gyebi, a management member who failed to relay the revelation to the team called to apologize to him after the ghastly accident.
Speaking in a media interview, the prophet said he is completely broken down and devastated by the incidence since the said team officer did not believed his prophesy.
To him, the deadly accident could have been avoided, if the team had obeyed the voice of God which came through him.
“I relayed the information to one Kotoko official around 4pm via telephone conversation to warn the team not to travel on Wednesday, but the officer refused to pass the information,” the Prophet said.
The founder of God’s Crown Chapel insisted that, God is still in the miracle business, therefore people should listen to him when he speaks.
The Asante Kotoko players were returning from Accra following their midweek clash against Inter Allies when their bus ran over a stationery KIA truck at Nkawkaw.
The team’s equipment officer, George Asare died trough the accident, leaving their head coaches Steve Polack and Godwin Ablordey and some other players injured.
