NPP member rubbishes John Mahama's bid to become president in 2020

-A leading member of the NPP has said that former President Mahama would not get to lead the nation again

-He alleged that the ex-president was holding secret meetings with party members to garner support for himself in the 2020 elections

-He said that the works of the current NPP administration was going to Keep the NDC in opposition for at least 16 years.

A staunch member of the New Patriotic Party, Mr Dennis Amfo-Sefa popularly called Chairman Nana Boakye has indicated that the ambition of ex-president John Dramani Mahama to stage a comeback to become the president of Ghana come 2020 is an exercise in futility.

The party member claimed that he had heard word that ex-president Mahama was secretly meeting party members to apologize for the NDC’s defeat in 2016 and lobbied for their support to help him return to the Flagstaff House come 2020.

The NPP stalwart indicated that the secret campaign that is being embarked on will come to naught because of the developmental projects that are being embarked on by the current NPP administration.

He indicated that the money that was being facilitated from China by the government was going to boost the nation’s economy to ensure that all Ghanaians enjoy from the hard work of the NPP. He stated projects including the flagship free SHS program, One District, One Factory and other policies that were already on course.

He added that Ghanaians were going to see the real meaning of competence under current president Akufo-Addo. The party member added that Ghanaians had not forgotten the various scandals that rocked the Mahama-led government and would not give the NDC another chance to lead the nation backwards.

He indicated that Akufo-Addo was not afraid to investigate any wrongdoing in his government which would ensure that corruption would not thrive in his administration.

He went on to say that the people of Tema were going to reject ex-president’s Mahama’s bid to become president since when he was in power, no one from Tema received an appointment from the president. He however indicated that president Akufo-Addo had already appointed many government officials who were from Tema.

He advised the NDC to brace themselves in opposition since the current course the NPP was on was going to keep the NDC in opposition for at least 16 years.
