- President Akufo-Addo says God has bless him with knowledgeable and skillful appointees
- He says he's optimistic they'll help him put the Ghana's development back on track
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is touting all his appointees are knowledgeable and highly skilled in their diverse fields for the job.
According to him, God saw him through in appointing reliable officials who he is in no doubt will channel the resources of the country into good use to revolutionize prosperity to all.
The president was speaking at Kybi in the eastern region to mark the celebration of this years’ Ohum festival.
“God has blessed me too, every appointee I have chosen to govern the country is intelligent. All I know is that a government has come to change the fortunes of Ghanaians for the better, but I need your prayers to help me achieve all that I have promised,” the President said.
Nana Akufo-Addo reiterated that, he is firmly on course to improve road infrastructure in the region in order to attract total economic development.
On his side, the paramount Chief of Abuakwa State Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin II, impressed on the President in ensuring that, he stands by his words by delivering all his 2016 campaign promises made to the people of the country in order to win the trust and confidence.
The Okyehene insisted that, his top priority from the NPP administration is to see many suffering Ghanaians relieved of their hardship, making it possible for them to educate their school going children.
“Every community in Okyeman has road infrastructure problem. We plead with you to fix the roads in the Eastern Region especially Okyeman. The roads here are bad and that is what we use for all our domestic and economic activities,” the Okyehene made an appeal to the President
Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin II lauded President Akufo-Addo for his famous free SHS policy, touting it as a “great initiative” that will ensure that poverty is eradicated to pave way for many parents in educating their words at least to a Senior High school level.
The paramount Chief urged the president to apply skillful knowledge to the country’s resource base in order to hasten the development agenda of the country.
“We know that across the world, countries have developed not because of the resources they have, but also knowledge they apply. If the success of a country was determined by resources, Africa would’ve been the most powerful. But yet still poor, I believe in your administration, things will change if you apply knowledge to the resources that our country is bless with,” said Amoatia Ofori Panin II.
