Tracy Boakye admits dating Ernest Opoku when she started her acting career

Budding Ghanaian actress and movie producer, Tracy Boakye has revealed some details in her ended relationship with local gospel sensation, Ernest Opoku.

The actress who was evasive about her relationship with the musician first indicated that she knew Ernest Opoku just as a musician. When she was pressed further, she indicated that they were good friends. With more pressure to get a definite answer, the actress finally admitted having dated the gospel musician.

She added that the relationship was over but the two of them remained close friends.

Speaking on the Celebrity ride with ZionFelix, the actress asked her fans not to believe everything they heard or read over the internet about her broken relationship with the musician.

The actress added that she dated the musician the same year she started acting which was in 2012.

She revealed that she did not want to disclose the details that led to their break-up to stir any confusion between herself and the musician. She said that the media blew the matter out of proportion by alleging that before the break-up, the police got involved because of her alleged behavior in reacting to the break-up.

She revealed that she was the mother of one. She revealed that the father of her child is ex-Kotoko football player, Yahaya Mohammed who was currently in Tanzania.

Tracy was in the media for openly declaring her support for John Dramani Mahama and the NDC in the run-up to the 2016 General Elections. Her open support for the now ex-president attracted a lot of backlash from supporters of opposition NPP.
