Actress Christabel Ekeh’s fame has further shot up since the release of her 'birthday suit' photos via her Instagram page.
She has been criticized heavily by Ghanaians all over, for the negative impact of her photos, with some going as far as to allege the actress has suffered a meltdown.
Some members of the Ghana movie industry have also shared their views on the issue, stating that whatever has prompted the actress to go down this path, is of no business to anyone, and the negative remarks about her should cease.
Madam Odoom, the actress’ mother has finally opened up about the controversy surrounding Christabel and her new ‘brand.’
According to a Graphic Showbiz report, the mother of the actress debunked all allegations that her daughter is suffering from a mental breakdown which led to her nude photoshoot.
Madam Odoom stated that her daughter was fine and should rather be supported in whatever project is working on.
“My daughter is a very decent girl, she was brought up well and cannot do anything she knows will tarnish her image. She is not sick and does not need any psychological treatment or help as people are saying out there,” she said.
She added the actress’ photos are work-related, as Christabel is also a model and as such her job calls for certain campaigns and loving her body was one of them.
Madam Odoom’s comments come after the sister of the actress, Tabitha Ekeh announced that the ‘birthday suit’ photos were part of an advocacy project.
Tabitha stated that her sister was part of a campaign to end plastic surgery, and when the time was right, the full details of the project will be revealed.
