There had been some speculations that the actress’ actions were due to a mental breakdown of sorts, but these claims were debunked by her mother and her sister in recent interviews.

On Monday, Christabel Ekeh speaking to Okay FM’s Abeiku Santana, stated she was aware of the growing controversy surrounding her photos.

I would like everyone to know that in as much as its looks shameful or whatever, my nudity is something that I’ve come to learn its my pride and not my shame,” she said.

According to her, the photos were released voluntarily after she had received threats from certain people that her ‘bare-it-all’ photos would be released to the public.

This prompted her decision to release the photos herself, and use it as a campaign for a bigger project.
