- Workers of the electoral commission have signed a petition against their head, Charlotte Osei
- They claim the EC boss is causing financial loss to the state
Workers at the Electoral Commission are calling for the EC boss, Charlotte Osei, to be sacked as they claim she has caused financial loss to the state.
According to a petition by these workers which got intercepted by Joy FM, these angry workers claim Madam Osei fiercely abused the powers of her office in the awarding of "fraudulent" contracts to some companies including the Superlock Technologies Limited (STL) and IT Firm, Dream Oval which she paid $76,000 to.
YEN.com.gh is yet to confirm these allegations by Joy FM but we can project that the said intercepted petition against the EC boss could shake the foundation of the commission especially with the coming on board of the special prosecutor's office.
Government is yet to accept the said petition but it well follows the recent invitation of other EC officers and commissioners by EOCO following suspicions of the embezzlement of funds as well as the abuse of incumbency.
With a new government in place, this petition against Charlotte Osei "could" take yet another political turn especially if it means she being asked to proceed on leave for investigations into the allegations to be conducted and completed.
