Tracy Boakye related that she considered terminating her pregnancy when her boyfriend, who at the time played for Kotoko, allegedly broke up with her when he found out she was with child, saying he wasn't ready to be a father.
According to Miss Boakye, her considering an abortion was not due to a lack of funds or anything like that because her family expressed the will to take care of the baby. She said it was rather the lack of love and attention from a man during her pregnancy that made the prospect of an abortion enticing, something she would have done had it not been from fellow actress Vivian Jill Lawrence.

Tracey Boakye stated that Vivian Jill Lawrence allegedly told her not to talk to her again and delete her number if she went ahead with the abortion. According to Tracey, this (somewhat) mild threat stopped her from going through with the abortion.
"The time I planned on aborting the child, I had already told Vivian so she asked me to delete her number if I implement my plans so I just had to stop what I wanted to do. That was the best decision she (Vivian Jill Lawrence) helped me to take," said Tracey Boakye
