The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) is warning all candidates against fraudsters who are in to change their results for a fee.
Following the release of provisional results of 289,210 candidates who sat for the exams this year, the council has revealed that the genera performance remains a slight improvement from that of the previous year of 2016 especially when candidates were able to prove their best in all core subjects.
In a press release signed by the head of public affairs, Agnes Teye-Cudjoe, the council revealed all persons or candidates who forge their results will be exposed.
"The council is alerting members of the public especially candidates to be wary of imposters who promise to change examination results for a fee. Candidates are to note that all WAEC results are well secured and can be authenticated," parts of the letter stated.
Meanwhile, all candidates across the country are being entreated to access their results online or at WAEC's website.
