Madam Charlotte Osei has been accused by some staff of the EC of among other things, misappropriating funds and causing damage to the commission’s reputation.

They further accused her of failing to go through the proper procurement process with the EC board, in the purchase of a V8 vehicle for official use.

These allegations have however, been debunked by the counsel for Charlotte Osei, who has warned the aggrieved staff’s counsel, that Charlotte Osei was willing to counter-attack them in a legal suit for defamation.

The EC boss also demanded that the names of the supposed concerned staff be disclosed to the public.

However Mr. Opoku Agyemang has maintained his stance, saying he will not be intimidated by their warnings.

I’ll be very glad to meet them in court. If anybody suggests that there has been defamation, it will make my day. I’m not the type of person who will be intimidated by the use these words which would not even intimidate a fly. A petition has been sent and we will follow through the petition. We will make sure that that petition is proceeded with as required by law,” he said on Accra-based Citi FM.

He warned Madam Charlotte Osei to stop her threats, and prepare to face whatever probe will be launched into the case.

Mr. Opoku-Agyemang said, at the right time he will disclose the identities of the concerned employees.
