Is President Akufo-Addo taking $5K as per diem for his trips? - NDC asks

- NDC alleges Nana Addo is superintending a bleeding Ghana

- The opposition party also says Akufo-Addo and his appointees are milking off Ghana

President Nana Akufo-Addo has been accused of taking huge per diem for all his foreign trips.

According to the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), the president should come clean on how much he and his aids take when they travel outside the country.

Is it $5000 or $4000 as is being rumoured?” “How much do his aides also take? Is it $2000 or $1000 as being rumoured?,” NDC National Chairman Kofi Portuphy quizzed when he addressed a press conference at the party headquarters in Accra on Thursday, July 2.

The NDC also used the press conference to react and respond to Akufo-Addo’s encounter with the media.

Mr Portuphy said Ghana is now unsafe to live in. He alleges that the NPP administration is presiding over a “pool of blood” in just six months after taking office.
