The University of Leicester has posthumously awarded the late Major Maxwell Adams Mahama with a masters degree in Security and Risk Management in a graduation ceremony in the United Kingdom.
In a graduation ceremony held at the University of Leicester's Leicester City Campus, the late Major Maxwell Adams Mahama's mother, Madam Veronica Bamford, is seen accepting her son's academic award in her sons stead.
In a heart felt gesture in respect to the deceased Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) Soldier, Madam Veronica receives the academic accolade with a standing ovation from gathered guests and graduates alike.

Major Maxwell Adams Mahama, then still a Captain in the Ghana Army, was murdered by residents of the town of Denkyira Obuasi after allegedly being mistaken for an armed robber after local townswomen (also allegedly) saw him jogging early on Monday morning, May 29th, 2017.
He was award the rank of Major in the Ghana Armed Forces posthumously by President Nana Akufo Addo and given a state burial.
