Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson has bemoaned the falling standards of the movie industry in Ghana. In a series of posts on her Twitter handle, the “Heels and Sneakers” producer blasted the Director of the Golden Movie Awards Africa, Mimi Andani.
She went on to criticize the awards show for being a platform where people just dress to impress. She minced no words as she took a swipe at former Big Brother Africa participant, Mimi Andani.
She criticized attendees of the Awards as only wanting to "slay for Social Media
The actress stressed on the importance of doing something to save the rate at which Ghana’s movie industry is falling.
Not long after the Golden Movie Awards Africa staged in Ghana, Yvonne Nelson made it clear why the movie industry was at the point it was now.
She recounted when Mimi, in an interview in May blamed the falling standards of the movie industry on the situation where actors have turned into producers and wanted to start their own production.
She took a swing at Mimi as well
Yvonne Nelson has starred in many Ghanaian productions and has acted alongside some of Ghana's top-notch acts in he industry. She came up with YN Productions and started her own series she called "Heels and Sneakers".
