- The Supreme Court has ordered Woyome to produce documents covering his Accra houses
- But Woyome says documents are with his brother who lives in the USA
The Supreme Court today, presided over by, Justice Anthony Alfred Benin has ordered NDC financier, Alfred Agbesi Woyome to produce all documents covering his Abelemkpe house in Accra with immediate effect.
The Judge also ordered the registrar of the court to subpoena the Head of the Lands Commissioner to appear in court to ascertain the true owner behind the said landed property.
Justice Anthony Benin gave the orders during the oral examination of the embattled businessman by the deputy Attorney General, Godfred Dame over the infamous GHc51million judgment debt saga.
Mr Woyome during the oral examination, which lasted for over two hours told the court that he lives in two houses but one is being used as a family house which belongs to his brother.
A claim which was vehemently rejected by the deputy State Attorney. Mr Godfred Yeboah Dame, he therefore prayed on the court to make an order for Alfred Woyome to produce documents on the disputed property. An appeal which was sustained by the judge.
Mr Woyome in a sharp defense, told the court that, document covering the house is in possession of his brother who currently resides in the United States.
He also told the court that, his health has not been in good condition and has also not engage in any business since his prosecution in 2011.
The businessman will return to the Supreme Court on October 2 and 3 to continue his oral examination due to legal vacation.
