- Jelani Jones is just nine years old
- However, she already has a successful online business
- She runs it while maintaining an A average in school
If you’re in search of black girl magic, look no further than nine-year-old Jelani Jones from Virginia in the United States.
The young entrepreneur is owner of Lani Boo Bath, a successful bath product line that has clients throughout the US.
In an interview, Jones said she got the inspiration for her online business after visiting a local farmers' market and learning how to make bath products. After sharing her idea with her mother, she got the support she needed.

Her parents gave her startup capital for the ingredients. After making her products, she used Facebook as a marketing platform and before long her business became a success.
She said: "The community has been amazing! People always say how proud they are of me and how I am inspiring them and how they are considering their children’s ideas more."
Incredibly, Jones runs her business while maintaining an A average in school. She said her business has taught her the value of time management.
Jones encouraged other kids to believe in themselves and to have a support system if they want to start their own business.
She said: "Most kids are already creative. They not only need to hear that they can do anything, but parents need to help them be successful."
Way to go, Jones. Watch a related video below.
