Yvonne Nelson in a series of tweets on her twitter account lambasted the rate at which industry players were causing the deterioration of the Ghanaian Movie industry. She went on to blast the convener and Director of the Golden Movie Awards ceremony, Mimi Andani.

In one of her tweets, the actress felt infuriated by the way some attendees of the event purposely dressed to grace the red carpets instead of channeling their energies to revive the dying movie industry.

However in a sharp rebuttal, fellow actress and fashion icon, Nana Akua Addo to a swipe at Yvonne Nelson by discrediting her sense of style and fashion.

Nana Akua advised Yvonne Nelson to put her long legs to good use by reinventing herself to become relevant on the red carpet. She indicated that ‘slaying’ on the red carpets had now become part of the fashion industry so Yvonne Nelson had to either keep up with the trending times or stay on the sidelines as a commentator.

Nana Akua Addo threw more shade at Yvonne by asking her to try “running” with long legs if she thought they were not fit for the red carpets.

Responding to Nana Akua’s Instagram post, the creator of “Heels and Sneakers” indicated that her post was not meant for everyone to understand especially those with “shallow minds”.

Yvonne Nelson went on a ranting spree on her Twitter account a day after the Golden Movie Awards and criticized some sections of the awards show.
