The actor, speaking in an interview with ZionFelix indicated that he had his doubts about the movie industry because most of his friends who were actors then were not wealthy.

He said that being a graduate from the College of art, he wanted to focus on arts rather than venture into the movie industry.

The actor indicated that he was introduced into the movie industry by one director. He added that the first movie he starred in also featured the late Suzzy Williams and Kwame Owusu Ansah.

Recounting on how he came by his popular name, the actor indicated that the name was conferred upon him when he starred in Micky Osei Berko’s series, “Dada Boat”.

Wayoosi revealed that he had reaped bountifully from the movie industry. Among the many things he admitted to have been the benefits of his movies include a mansion, three cars including a Honda HRV and a business in the form of a pub called Wayoosi Pub which he runs on the side.

He also added that many travelling opportunities were presented to him on a silver platter because of his association with movies.

The actor debunked claims that his height was a selling point for his scoring many roles in the movie industry and in Kumawood movies in particular. He said that his success in the movie industry was as a result of hard work and divine favour.
