Kennedy Agyapong said this during an interview on Accra-based TV station, Adom TV.
The minister, who is known for his vibrant comments said, "for fair investigation to go on Georgina Opoku, EC workers, EC chairperson herself need to be arrested immediately".
According to him, the mess that is currently in public domain shows shows that "rot" is what was going on in the Electoral Commission of Ghana.
“If ...we ask them (EC chairpersons) questions, the way he is so reluctant and arrogant even to answer parliamentarians because he is independent my foot independent its Ghana money that they are spending”, Kennedy Agyapong said of former EC chair, Afari Gyan.
“All I would like to say is they should step aside. The woman is not clean, Sulley is not clean Georgina Opoku is a thick NDC and I will not exonerate anybody” Kennedy blasted away on the TV show.
He said the three commissioners, due to the gruesome nature of the situation, needed to be arrested.
“...they should sack all the three and arrest them because the evidence is clear. There is a written response from the EC... It’s not only to step them aside they must be arrested. You talk of independence but the head of CHRAJ Lauretta Lamptey was removed so why can’t she be removed?”
He further indicated that he would not be silent because she is a woman he was going to reveal all of his misgiving although females in Ghana would say otherwise.
“When I speak about Charlotte Osei then the women in the country are appealing, who told as citizens when a female does what is wrong you say she is a woman so we don’t talk about it."
"This is my problem with Ghanaian females. I will not disclose the name of a certain lawyer whose wife leads the charge paying of dignitaries and the like but in the end you will reap what you sow", he added prophetically.
