The rainy season is upon us and with July being the most intensive of the period, there have been many calls for road-users to be cautious during their daily travels across the country.
Major highways have already seen some mishaps at the beginning of the season, and with the nonstop wet days, there is even more cause for concern as no other measures for safety have been implemented.
On Tuesday, the Tema Motorway which is known for the daily aggressive driving along the highway, saw yet another accident during the mid-morning rush.
The accident involved a fuel tanker and at least two other vehicles.
In the photos uploaded by Facebook user, Akosua Konadu Owusu, some individuals had gathered to help the injured and move the cars involved in the accident off the road.
Social media was awash with warnings by other drivers to avoid the motorway due to the traffic. They further asked that all be careful as they use the road especially in this wet season.
The full details of the accident, including whether there were any casualties is yet to be known.
Needless to say, all road-users should be extra cautious and observe all appropriate road signs and travel conduct.
