- President Mugabe's decision to shower his sister-in-law with millions on her birthday has generated mixed reactions in the country

- Mugabe is said to have gifted Gumbochuma with that much as gratitude for her active role in bringing up the First Family's children

- She was celebrating her 60th birthday party

President Robert Mugabe has reportedly pampered his wife's sister with close to Ghc255k which when converted is about Ghc250k on her birthday.

This comes at a time the South African nation is suffering from a massive financial crunch.

According to local media reports, the Head of State and his significant other Grace gave the birthday celebrant the cash at her birthday celebrations.

The birthday celebrant is the First Lady's elder sister and was reportedly celebrating her 60th birthday at the time.

The country's economy has been on a decline for over 10 years with many money-lending institutions coming up short on money, compelling individuals to line for quite a long time to make withdrawals regularly restricted to just Ghc85 a day.
