The president of Malta has revealed her government’s resolve to partner Ghana in boosting trade ties between both countries.
This announcement by the Maltese president, Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, made this known during her official visit to Ghana together with her husband - a development which makes Ghana the very first African country to have been considered by powerful European state.
The 3 day visit will see the vice president, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as well as the Maltese president tour Kumasi and Cape Coast, where they will call on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace and visit the HopeXChange Medical Centre respectively.
Ghana remains the only African economy in recent history to have invited a sitting Maltese Head of State and also the first sub-Saharan country to establish a High Commission in the European state of Malta.
