- The appeal was intended to halt the suspension
- He was faulted for his inability to properly activate the jurisdiction of the court
A motion filed by Francis Xavier Sosu to halt his suspension has been dismissed by the Court of Appeal.
He was banned by the General Legal Council (GLC) for three years, on charges of advertising his law firm, overcharging a client amongst other charges.
Sosu sought to quash the decision at the Court of Appeal. He again filed a motion to restrain the GLC from carrying out the suspension.
The court, however, dismissed the motion, as the substantive case is being determined.
The judge explained that the plaintiff has failed to properly activated the jurisdiction of the court
