The floods in the Tamale Metropolis in the Northern Region of Ghana has left many residents of the area devastated and displaced.
July 25th marked a sad day in the area as the heavy rains picked up in the Gumani, Gumbihini, Kanvili Tuunaayili, Wurishe, Koblimahigu and Fuo areas.
It was earlier reported that two people had lost their live to the flooding in Tamale.
One of the two deceased was a primary student who was yet to be identified.
The other deceased was identified simply as Hajia, who remains have since been deposited at the Tamale Teaching Hospital Morgue.
Residents of Tamale as still counting their loss and a trending video on social media has nowed showed the power of the flood.
In the video, a woman is being carried away in 4-wheel drive by the flood as residents stand by helplessly.
It is currently unknown if the car and/or the woman have been safely located.
Former president John Dramani Mahama, earlier expressed his sympathy for all those who have been affected by the torrential rains at Tamale in the Northern Region in a post on his official social media accounts.
