- Dr Otabil is calling for all young pastors to be patient with success
- The pastor has been trolled on social media over a said "too-expensive special offering" call
General overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Dr Mensa Otabil, has called for budding men of God to earn their titles rather than buy or acclaim them.
Speaking at the ongoing Greater Works Conference in Accra, Dr. Otabil, claims that the integrity and sanctity of Ghana's Charismatic Church remains threatened following the springing up of various self-proclaimed pastors who are being addressed with titles that he belives should take years of experience to attain.
I sometimes get worried when young pastors who just come into the system start calling themselves huge titles like "Daddy", really? You need to grow in the ministry for your ministry to speak for you and members award you that title not yourself," he argued.
Meanwhile, the ongoing Greater Works conference has been trolled on social media following a list of what many believe to be the cost of blessings churned out by the Church.
This list, titled "Special Offering" was by a call to action by the head pastor of the KICC, Mathew Ashimolowo but a section of social media claim this is a "ploy" and new tactitc to extort monies from Christians who are in dire need of miracles.
