President of the republic, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo has revealed government’s resolve to ensure that the welfare of teachers are prioritized.
Speaking at the 21st Congregation of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), the president assured teachers that his administration will see to it that the teaching career is becomes an attractive avenue in terms of remuneration.
“Teaching must never be the last resort to one’s career choice, we as a government will make sure that the lot of teachers is brought first,” the president revealed.
Speaking on the recent feud in the governing council of the university, the president charged members of the council to ensure that they address their differences amicably to ensure that teaching and learning is not disrupted.
The graduation ceremony saw over 10,000 students graduate at various levels.
