- NPP Northern Regional Chairman says the party is losing ground in the north
- He's accused NPP MPs of working against the party in the north
- He says if the issue isn't checked it may cost the ruling party its majority
Mr. Daniel Bugri Naabu, the New patriotic Party's Northern Regional Chairman, has warned the party's leadership that the ruling party is gradually losing the people's goodwill.
Chairman Daniel Bugri Naabu, addressing party members during the party's Northern Regional Delegates Conference held in Tamale on Sunday, stated that if an election were to be held today the party lose.
Chairman Bugri Naabu alleged that Members of Parliament (MPs) were behind the party's loss of ground in the north. According to Bugri Naabu, MPs were working behind the scene fomenting trouble in the ruling party, and that they [MPs] were also to blame for the rejection of President Akufo Addo's District Chief Executives (DCE).

“As I am talking to you now if there are elections today, we will not win. Gushegu is sick and other places too [but] I won’t mention now,” he told party delegates.
Chairman Bugri Naabu said that instead of working to further the ruling party's initiatives, NPP MPs were working against the party in in the north.
“The problems are in the region are not from the regional executives but rather some of the MPs” he added.
Chairman Bugri Naabu told gathered party members that the NPP risks losing it's majority in the north if measures weren't taken to rectify the problem.
