Ghanaian musician “Eduwodzi” has revealed that his fellow colleagues wanted to destroy him spiritually, hence his long absence from the spotlight.
The artiste has been off the scene since the release of his one hit “Yenko Nkoaa”.
The one hit wonder explained his plight on Kumasi-based Abusua Fm, revealing that a pastor told him during his time of illness that his close friends wanted him dead and resorted to voodoo charms to achieve their evil way.
“Somebody I featured on my song later claimed ownership of my song and that was when all started going bad in my life. Through that I became very ill. It’s by God’s grace I’m still alive”, he stated.
Eduwodzi continued that, “I could neither walk nor was I able to see. I become helpless for more than a year after the release of my son ‘Yenko nkoaa’. I became so sick that you could not stand it after seeing me. I nearly died”.
Further giving clarification of the claim he said, “Oh yeh that is real some musicians I worked with wanted to kill me spiritually. I was told by the pastor it was somebody close to me who wanted such a bad thing to befall me. Thank God I can now walk and see.”
Raymond Eduwodzi Gbedze popularly known by his stage name, Eduwodzi, also said that he spent over 7 months at Atwia Mountain, Adumfa and others, a place popularly known for their spiritual endeavors.
The one hit wonder said although he has suffered much set-back in his music career he is determined to release new music for Ghanaians.
