Not many Ghanaians would know how to behave properly with 1 millions USD in cash handed over to them, and it would seem Ghanaian footballer, Laryea Kingston is one of such people.
According to recent revelations by the Ghanaian international player, he couldn't find rest for two weeks when he came into contact with $1million in cash.
In 2004, Kingston made headlines in Ghana when he signed on to Russia side, Krylia Sovetov Samara.
He was paid a signing fee of $1million, which was given to him in cash by officials of the oil-rich Russian side.
However, it was not a very restful period of the Ghanaian player as he revealed on on the Football Legends Nights Show on the Accra-based TV network, GHOne TV.4
"I couldn’t sleep for two weeks after I was given one million cash after signing my contract in Russia", he revealed.
According to the baller, he ad asked the officials to deposit the money into his account but was told to "deal with it".
“For two weeks I couldn’t speak and had to change the position of the money every day on my return from training at the hotel", he added.
Laryea Kingston continued to make 15 appearances for Krylia Sovetov before moving to Terek Grozny in 2005.
