Popular spiritualist, Nana Kwaku Bonsam has jumped to Dr. Mensa Otabil’s defense on the brouhaha surrounding the special offering that was being collected at the just-ended Greater Works Congress organized by ICGC.
The spiritualist, in a Facebook live video expressed disappointment at the section of Ghanaians who were insulting the Founder and Leader of the International Central Gospel Church, Dr. Mensa Otabil.
Nana Kwaku Bonsam quoted the Bible and took his scripture from John 8:6-9.
He went on to chastise pastors who had condemned the leader of ICGC. He said that any pastor or Man of God who had not taken money from his congregants before should cast the first stone by condemning Dr. Otabil.
The spiritualist who considered Dr. Otabil to be his father went on to condemn the Men of God and general public who criticized ICGC for taking the said ‘special offering’ in foreign currency. Nana Kwaku Bonsam indicated that other pastors even charged GHc 500 and more just for consultation and these monies they collected made them no different than Dr. Otabil.
He did a comparison of currencies that were charged in cedis and converted them into dollars and drew the conclusion that the ‘special offering’ collected at Greater Works was even on the low side.
The over 47-minute video showed the spiritualist jammimg to songs of Shatta Wale in the company of his sister and one other lady.
Dr. Mensa Otabil and ICGC came under some form of ‘attack’ after Matthew Ashimolowo requested for some special offering to be paid into an account belonging to the church by attendees of ICGC’s annula Congress dubbed “Greater Works”.
