Akua Donkor illegally took 2 NADMO cars as payment for campaigning for Mahama - Ramadan reveals

- Akua Donkor is said to be in illegal possession of two cars belonging to the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO)

- This was revealed by the new Deputy Director of NADMO, Abu Ramadan, who stated that the NDC gave the cars to Akua Donkor as a "thank-you" for campaigning for John Mahama in 2016

Akua Donkor, the the founder of Ghana Freedom Party, a political party in Ghana has been cited to have been involved in corrupt activities by receiving NADMO vehicles.

This allegation was made by Deputy Director of NADMO, Abu Ramadan on local TV station, Joy TV.

According to Abu Ramadan, Akua Donkor still has in her possession the said cars which she reportedly received for having campaigned for the John Mahama in the 2016 General Elections.

Abu Ramadan stated that some of the erstwhile directors at the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) authorised this at the behest of the then-president John Mahama.

"After she declared her support for Mahama and went around campaigning, she was given a brand new L200 Mitsubishi, two of those", Abu Ramadan alleged.

Mr. Ramadan, who was recently appointed to NADMO has been cavilling at the deplorable state in which the organisation operates with a lack of resources.

He promised that the officials found to have been involved in the rot at NADMO will soon face the ax and legal consequences.

"When we came to office, we received reports that some items were auctioned. The items were given out for free. None of the regional stores even had one bag of rice sitting at the stores”, he said.

Abu Ramadan is of the strong position that the former ruling party, the National Democratic Congress depleted the stores of the NADMO in fraudulent ways before handing over power to the National Patriotic Party and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.
